Manitoba Tourism Awards Website

The 12th annual Manitoba Tourism Awards were held on May 26, 2010 at the Fairmont Winnipeg. Finalists and winners were recognized for their efforts in making a difference in Manitoba's tourism industry. Over 220 people were in attendance as the winners in ten categories were presented their awards by the Honourable Flor Marcelino, Minister of Culture, Heritage and Tourism and Travel Manitoba's Board Chair, Paul Robson.

Enthusiastic event MC Ace Burpee provided laughs throughout the evening, while the funk fusion music of Moses Mayes rounded out the night. This year a record 85 nominations were submitted by industry peers from across the province.

Tourism Winnipeg also presented their Award of Distinction at the awards gala to three of Winnipeg's top festivals, Festival du Voyageur, Folklorama and the Winnipeg Folk Festival.

This fall, watch for details on nominations for the 13th annual Manitoba Tourism Awards and the return of the Manitoba Tourism Conference in 2011.
